Termite Control & Inspection
South Florida is ground zero for termites. We inspect, identify the species, and recommend the right treatment — from bait stations to no-tent localized treatment to full fumigation.
Termites quietly cause billions of dollars in damage across the U.S. every year, and South Florida is one of the most termite-active regions in the country. Because the damage happens inside walls and structural wood, most homeowners don't notice until it's significant — which is why proactive inspection and protection matter so much here.
Effective termite control starts with correctly identifying the threat. Subterranean termites (including the aggressive Formosan species) nest in the soil and build mud tubes up into the structure, while drywood termites live entirely inside the wood with no soil contact. Each requires a different solution, so we inspect thoroughly and match the treatment to the species and the situation.
Common types we treat in South Florida
- Subterranean termites. Nest in soil and travel through mud tubes into your home. Best managed with in-ground bait stations and/or liquid soil treatments that create a continuous protected zone.
- Formosan subterranean termites. An especially destructive, fast-growing subterranean species widespread in South Florida. Large colonies can cause serious damage quickly and warrant aggressive, professional treatment.
- Drywood termites. Live inside dry wood with no ground contact — common in attics, framing, and furniture. Treated with localized "no-tent" injection for isolated areas or whole-structure tent fumigation for widespread activity.
Signs you may have a problem
- Mud tubes running up foundation walls, piers, or crawl spaces
- Piles of tiny pellets (drywood termite droppings, or "frass")
- Discarded wings near windowsills and doors after a swarm
- Wood that sounds hollow or papery when tapped
- Bubbling, blistered, or buckling paint and warped trim
- Swarms of winged termites, especially in spring and early summer
Our approach
Every plan begins with a detailed inspection, including a Wood-Destroying Organism (WDO) report when you need one for a real-estate transaction. For subterranean termites we install monitoring/bait stations and/or apply liquid soil treatments. For drywood termites we recommend no-tent localized treatment for isolated activity, or coordinate whole-structure tent fumigation when activity is widespread. We then set you up on ongoing monitoring so protection lasts.
What's included
- Comprehensive termite & WDO inspection with report
- Species identification (subterranean vs. drywood vs. Formosan)
- In-ground bait stations and/or liquid soil treatment
- No-tent localized drywood treatment options
- Coordination of whole-structure tent fumigation when needed
- Ongoing monitoring and renewable protection plans
